Drone photos in Wrocław: zones, approvals and what I check before a flight
Before I quote for drone photos or video, I check whether flying is possible at the address and on what terms. Here is how it works in and around Wrocław.

The airport zone covers much of the city
Around Wrocław-Strachowice airport there is a control zone (CTR) that covers much of the city and its surroundings. Flying there is not banned as such, but it requires a DroneTower check-in and, in some places, air traffic control approval or contact with the tower. The permitted height depends on the exact location.
Every flight is reported in DroneTower
I check zones and restrictions in advance on the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency map, and before take-off I check in with the DroneTower app, giving the place, height and duration. If flying is banned at the address or needs an approval that cannot be obtained in reasonable time, I tell you before quoting.
Credentials and flight rules
I am a drone operator registered with the Polish Civil Aviation Authority and hold A1/A3 competency. I fly within visual line of sight and no higher than 120 metres above ground, following the open category rules.
What I do not do
I do not fly over gatherings of people, so at events I film the place and its surroundings, not the crowd. I do not photograph other people’s property or people without consent. When the weather does not allow a safe flight, we agree a new date.
What to include in an enquiry
An address or a map pin, the type of property, what the material is for (a listing, a website, social media) and an approximate date. Say whether you need photos, video or both. With that I check the zone and prepare a quote.
